Professor Tony Owen is Director of the UCL School of Energy and Resources, Adelaide, Australia, and holds the Santos Chair in Energy Resources. Previously he was Professor of Energy Economics in the Curtin Business School, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, and prior to that Associate Professor of Economics and Joint Director of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He has a PhD in Econometrics from the University of Kent (UK) and has held visiting appointments at the Universities of British Columbia, Colorado, Leeds and Exeter, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (Paris), the UK Department of Energy (Harwell), and the International Energy Agency (Paris). Energy related consulting activities have been undertaken in Australia, China, Denmark, Indonesia, Norway, the Philippines and the UK. Tony is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, and Past President (2004) of the International Association for Energy Economics. |
