Dr Tunks hold a B.Sc. (Hons) geology degree from Monash University and Ph.D. from the University of Tasmania.
Dr Tunks is a geologist with 20 years experience in worldwide exploration having explored in Australia, South America and throughout Africa. He has held senior positions with North Ltd, Paladin Resources, Ranger Minerals, Gallery Gold. He also held the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Tasmania where he lectured on Economic Geology and mineral deposits. Prior to joining A-Cap in September 2006 he was the Chief Geologist for Iamgold Corporation based in Francistown Botswana.
